Athlete Pathway

GTTF Ph athletes are treated with utmost respect and care as we believe that these amazing individuals carry the hope of the entire nation; from being world-class athletes on the sports front, to being model citizens- capable and willing to be of service to the community, the nation and the world.

Having said that, each athlete is given its first layer of support by way of medical insurance coverage for training and tournament-related injuries, thanks to our insurance partners SunLife GREPA Financial, Inc and Malayan Insurance- ensuring that the athletes maintain their focus on quality taekwondo learning across the belts.

Under the GTTF Philippines Poomsae Standardization Program, athletes and their masters will now have definitive guidelines on proper forms, with reviewable modules available in the GTTF Online University Platform. Under this directive, dojangs across the nation and across the globe will be able to have video basis for the proper forms- ensuring the adherence to tradition and the appreciation of why the forms exist.

GTTF Philippines utilizes the international belt ranking system- giving athletes visible and tangible reference on their achievements and progress, and allowing them be comprehensively matched with international athletes under specific and precise matching standards.

The athletes also enjoy being part of a global database that reflects their belt ranking, along with medals garnered through competitions and tournaments thru the GTTF Global Database System.

The current focus of GTTF Philippines for the athletes covers poomsae, kyukpa and kyorugi; however, additional programs including practical self-defense will be launched to provide the athletes comprehensive and continuous education.
